This helps keep documents organized, accessible, and tied to the people they relate to, making care and administrative workflows smoother and more secure.
Intelligent Design
The uploader automatically knows where to place your file based on what you’re doing. If you are creating a task, dragging a file onto the page will attach it to that task; the same applies when creating an update. If you’re not creating a task or update, the file will be added to the person’s profile by default.
What Attachments Do
Attachments let you upload files—such as PDFs, images, forms, or notes—straight to an individual’s profile, update, or task. All files added to a profile stay with that person and can be viewed by anyone who has permission to see their profile.
How to Add an Attachment
Open a Person’s Profile, Update, or Task in Notebird.
Drag an attachment anywhere on the page, and it will upload the attachment to that profile. update, or task
The Uploaded Attachment will immediately appear in the list of attachments for that person, update, or task
Attachments for Updates and Tasks
If you’re creating a task or update, dragging a file onto the page will automatically attach it to that task or update. If you’re not creating either, the file will default to the person’s profile.
Any Attachments added to a task are visible both on the task within the person’s profile and on the main Tasks page, ensuring easy access wherever you view the task.
Attachments Available in the Activity Feed
Attachments are visible on the activity for quick reference.
What Attachments Look Like
In the person’s profile, you’ll see an Attachments section showing:
The number of attachments
A list of uploaded files
Options to view, download, or manage attachments
If you click on the file, it will open a Pop-Up Window for you to view and you will have the option download the file
Why Attachments Are Important
Many teams need a central place to store documents connected to a specific person, update, or task. Attachments help you:
Keep essential documents in one secure, easy-to-access place
Reduce the need for external folders or scattered storage
Quickly reference forms, photos, or important paperwork
Support care conversations and administrative processes with the right documentation on hand
Who Can See Attachments?
Anyone who can view the person’s profile can also see their attachments. Attachments inherit the same visibility permissions as the profile itself—no one without access to that person can see their files.

Yes. Users with permission can remove an attachment from the profile at any time.
