Texting with WhatsApp

Don't use the native text message app on your phone? You can text and call with WhatsApp + Notebird

Updated over a week ago

WhatsApp is a free cross-platform messaging service. It lets users of iPhone and Android smartphones and Mac and Windows PC call and exchange text, photo, audio and video messages with others across the globe for free, regardless of the recipient's device.

WhatsApp is widely-used outside of the United States. We are happy to offer the ability for our international customers to make WhatsApp the default platform for text messaging and calls.

*Note: Text messages are not sent from Notebird. The WhatsApp button within Notebird is simply a shortcut to that message platform where you can communicate with your people directly. Rest assured, you cannot accidentally text or email any care information from Notebird.

Making WhatsApp Default Messaging Platform

Click your name in the upper right hand corner. Click User Profile.

Scroll down to WhatsApp and turn on 'Use WhatsApp for Texting'

Check that the Country Code is correct.

Click on 'WhatsApp' to open the app and send a message directly to the individual. A mobile number must be stored for the individual for WhatsApp to show. Here is how you add/edit phone numbers.
